We lead advocacy actions and lobby local, national, and European institutions to promote a change in current European migration policies
We promote and organize information and awareness-raising events for civil society and schools to address the issue of migration with a multidisciplinary approach, comparing cross-disciplinary and distinct perspectives
We push for the activation of local chapters through collective mobilization aimed at creating greater involvement and opportunities for public discussion on the issue
We believe in the importance and power of civil society and grassroots which, acting from below, can influence local, national, and European authorities to build a more fair and inclusive society and change the way migration is narrated.
Through municipal resolutions, we urge Italian municipalities to contribute to the change of national and European migration policies and to work on a European municipal relocation system.

We are divided into city chapters (from Europe Must Act’s “Cities Must Act” campaign), to raise awareness and inform local authorities while simultaneously uniting our voices and efforts from all over Europe to lobby European authorities.
Founded in September 2020 following a sit-in, the chapter is now firmly rooted in the local context and carries out both lobbying actions on local institutions and education and awareness-raising events in the Florentine territory.
Established in October 2021 and composed of university students, the Ravenna chapter is engaged in education and awareness-raising actions, in cooperation with the University of Bologna and the Municipality of Ravenna.
Europe Must Act (EMA) is a European social movement aiming for European migration policies that respect the rights and dignity of people on the move in Europe. Through its network of activists and civil society organisations, it promotes lobbying actions at local, national, and European levels.
